The competitor program uses traditional athlete periodization protocols to prepare CrossFit competitors for the sport of fitness. No longer is there a need to be ready for the unknown and unknowable all year round. The program is broken up into training blocks, focusing on specific goals working back from a year-long timeline that finishes with the CrossFit Open and the regional.

Athletes are required to complete their primary training session from the CrossFit General Program in the morning and then complete the secondary training session from the Competitors Program in the afternoon. Athlete workloads vary from person to person as mini programs are often overlaid in their schedules focusing on weaknesses of individuals.

Strict rest and recovery protocols are put in place. This program is available for anyone who desires to compete.
